Miracle of flight

Howard and I agreed that annoying as Obama's visit yesterday to Buffalo was, at least the day brought one great pleasure. We got to see a true miracle of aviation.

We did not exactly get to see it flying but still, just seeing it standing there, knowing what it was capable of, that was enough.

It was thrilling, like hearing Leonard Pennario playing the "Blue Danube" Waltz. There is a part in this piece where Pennario makes the music lift off like magic and that is what I thought of.

Magical!

I stood staring.

Surely this is one of the wonders of science and engineering. And ... it could be anywhere in the world, yet it is here!

Right in our own backyard!

Literally!

Howard snapped this picture with his camera.

See? Visible over the hood of the Vic.

It is a wild turkey!

A closeup shot.

A shot of Wild Turkey! Ha, ha!

Who knows what today will bring?
